Funding Priorities

Officer Wellness

Physical and mental health is the foundation of effective policing. We fund peer support programs, counseling resources, fitness and resilience initiatives, and family support — helping officers stay healthy throughout demanding careers.

Training & Professional Development

We fund advanced and specialized training that goes beyond baseline requirements: de-escalation, crisis intervention, leadership development, and emerging best practices in modern policing.

Equipment & Gear

From protective equipment to specialized tools, we help ensure officers have modern, reliable gear that improves both their safety and their ability to serve.

Technology & Innovation

We invest in technology that improves emergency response, transparency, and community trust — the tools that help our department operate more effectively and accountably.

Community Engagement

We support programs that bring officers and residents together, building the relationships and trust that make Caledonia safer for everyone.

K-9 Unit Support

Veterinary care, specialized training, and equipment for the department’s K-9 partners.

How Funds Are Raised

The Foundation raises money through individual donations, business sponsorships, grants, and community fundraising events. Every contribution — large or small — is pooled to fund the priorities above.

Accountability

We are committed to transparent stewardship. Funds are directed to the priorities above under the oversight of the Foundation’s board, in coordination with the Caledonia Police Department.
